Two Trapped on Beltway: Rescue Box 14-60
April 17, 2010 - At approximately 2:15pm, Squad 303 was alerted for the report of a multi-vehicle accident with entrapment on the outerloop of Interstate 695 between the JFX and Greenspring Avenue. While en route, Engine 14 arrived and reported a multi-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer and confirmed the entrapment of two patients in a single car. Squad 303 and Pikesville's Squad 322 worked together to extricate the driver by removing the driver's side door. Squad 303's crew then utilized the winch to pull the vehicle away from the jersey barrier to gain access to the passenger, who was subsequently extricated by removing the passenger side door. The patients were packaged and transported to a local area hospital, and crews returned to service. Units on Scene: E14, HM114, S303, S322, M14, BC1
