Fire Safety at Havenwood Preschool Center
April 19, 2010 - Lutherville Volunteers, in conjunction with the Towson University Department of Nursing, presented important home fire safety education to children at the Havenwood Preschool Center located off of Ridgely Road in Lutherville. Throughout the morning, children were exposed to a firefighter in turnout gear, explored a fire engine, learned common home fire hazards, and were taught how to contact emergency services by dialing 9-1-1. The session concluded when the children were allowed to operate a hose line off of Engine 307. Many thanks to the Havenwood Preschool Center and the Towson University Department of Nursing for their assistance in implementing the program.
