Working Auto Fire in Ruxton: Local Box 30-09
April 29, 2010 - At approximately 4:30 p.m, Station 30 was alerted for the report of an auto fire on Ridervale Road off of Bellona Avenue in Ruxton. While en route, Engine 307's crew noticed a large column of smoke in the distance. Arriving shortly thereafter, a working automobile fire was confirmed. The crew immediately established a water source, pulled the bumper attack line, and made a quick knock on the fire. As the vehicle was situated in close proximity to the dwelling, a thorough check of the dwelling was conducted for possible extension. Engine 307 remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
