Generator Accident in Lutherville: Local Fire Box 30-06
August 31, 2011 - At approximately 6:00 am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a burn patient on Croftley Road in Lutherville. Engine 307 immediately responded and arrived moments later to find a patient who had been burned by gasoline while refueling a hot generator. While rendering care to the patient and upon further investigation, the crew found the generator and the exterior of the back patio of the dwelling to be on fire and immediately requested a local fire box assignment. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and checked for extension to the structure. The patient was transported to a local burn center for evaluation. Crews remained on scene for approximately 1 hour.
