Accident Traps One on I-83 in Lutherville: Rescue Box 30-80
September 14, 2011 - At approximately 9:00pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a motor vehicle accident with an unknown status on Interstate 83 North between Interstate 695 and Timonium Road in Lutherville. Engine 307 immediately responded and while en route, dispatch advised reports of one person trapped and upgraded the incident to a rescue box assignment. Engine 307 arrived moments later to find one person trapped and established command. Squad 303's crew, along with Tower 17 and Truck 1, extricated the patient by removing the roof along with the driver side door. The patient was then packaged and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Crews remained on scene for approximately 40 minutes.
