Apartment Fire in Cockeysville: Fire Box 17-19

February 08, 2012 - At approximately 7:30pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of an apartment fire on Vintage Court off of Cranbrook Road in Cockeysville. Engine 302 and Squad 303 immediately responded and while en route, first arriving units from Station 17 (Texas) advised nothing evident and established command. Upon further investigation, Engine 17's crew encountered smoke in the apartment building with a fire on the second floor. Engine 17's crew immediately deployed a handline and extinguished the fire. Shortly thereafter, Engine 302's crew arrived, secured a water source, and assisted with extinguishment by advancing a secondary handline into the apartment building while Squad 303's crew assisted with lighting and utilities. Crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes.
