Motor Vehicle Accident with Auto Fire in Hillendale: Local Box 11-01
May 17, 2012 - While transferring to Station 11 (Hillendale) due to a working dwelling fire in Towson (Fire Box 01-18), Engine 302 was dispatched to respond to the report of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Joppa Road and La Salle Road in Hillendale. Engine 302 responded and arrived moments later to find a multi-vehicle accident with one vehicle on fire. Engine 302's crew quickly assessed the vehicle for patients and extinguished the fire which was contained to the engine compartment. One patient was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Engine 302's crew remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
