Townhome Fire in Towson: Fire Box 01-18
May 17, 2012 - At approximately 7:45pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of an appliance fire on Theo Lane off of Swarthmore Drive in Towson. Engine 302 immediately responded and while en route, Engine 1 (Towson) arrived to find a middle of the group townhome with smoke showing and requested a fire box assignment. Engine 1's crew immediately deployed a handline and made an aggressive attack on the fire, which was contained to the second floor kitchen. Engine 302's crew arrived shortly thereafter and assisted with extinguishment, search, and overhaul. In addition, Engine 307 also responded on the assignment and investigated the adjacent units for potential extension. Crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes.
