Auto Fire in Garage at Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson: Fire Box 01-17
July 01, 2012 - At approximately 10:50am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of an automobile fire in the parking garage at the Baltimore County Detention Center on Bosley Avenue in Towson. Engine 302 responded and while en route, Engine 1 (Towson) arrived to find smoke showing. Upon investigation, Engine 1's crew found a vehicle on fire in the parking garage located underneath the building and quickly extinguished the fire which was primarily contained to the engine compartment. As second arriving engine company on scene, Engine 302's crew secured Engine 1's primary water source and assisted with extinguishment and ventilation. Crews remained on scene for approximately one (1) hour.
