Small Deck Fire at Dwelling in Lutherville: Fire Box 30-01
November 23, 2012 - At approximately 7:45pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the repot of a dwelling fire on Reuter Road between Charmuth Road and East Aylesbury Road in Lutherville. Engine 302 immediately responded and arrived minutes later to find a two-story dwelling with light smoke showing from the exterior and established command. Upon further investigation, a portion of the rear deck was on fire with minor extension to the exterior portion of the dwelling. Crews from Station 30 deployed a hand line and quickly extinguished the fire and performed overhaul operations Squad 303 and Utility 304 also responded on the call. Crews remained on scene for approximately 35 minutes.
Car into Tree Traps One in Parkville: Rescue Box 10-18
November 19, 2012 - At approximately 7:05pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a motor vehicle accident with rescue on Waltham Woods Road between Proctor lane and White Spruce Court in Parkville. Squad 303 immediately responded and while en route, Engine 10 (Parkville) arrived to find one vehicle into a tree with one patient trapped. Squad 303 arrived shortly thereafter and assumed rescue operations. With the assistance from Truck 8 (Fullerton), Squad 303's crew extricated the patient by removing the passenger side doors and post. The patient was then packaged and transported to a local trauma center. Crews remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
Overturned SUV Traps One on I-83 in Lutherville: Rescue Box 30-80
November 04, 2012 - At approximately 2:25am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a motor vehicle accident with rescue on Interstate 83 north between Interstate 695 and Timonium Road in Lutherville. Squad 303 immediately responded and arrived moments later to find one vehicle overturned with one person trapped and established command. Prior to fire department arrival, one patient was able to self extricate from the vehicle, however one passenger remained trapped in the vehicle. Squad 303's crew, with assistance from Truck 1, immediately stabilized the vehicle by utilizing Squad 303's crane and extricated the trapped patient through a rear window. Both patients were transported to a local trauma center for evaluation. Crews remained on scene for approximately 25 minutes.
Squad Responds to Rescue in Windsor Mill: Rescue Box 13-21
October 08, 2012 - At approximately 7:15am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a motor vehicle accident with rescue at the intersection of Fairbrook Road and New Castle Road in Windsor Mill. Squad 303 immediately responded and while en route, first arriving units from Station 13 (Westview) arrived to find a multi vehicle accident with one patient trapped. After an extended drive of approximately 15 minutes, Squad 303 arrived on scene and assisted Station 13 crews with extricating the patient by removing the roof and driver side doors and post of the vehicle. The patient was then removed from the vehilcle, packaged, and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Crews remained on scene for approximately 40 minutes.
Vehicle Rescue on Towsontown Boulevard in Towson: Rescue Box 01-19
October 09, 2012 - At approximately 11:00am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a motor vehicle accident with rescue at the intersection of Towsontown Boulevard and Towsontown Court in Towson. Squad 303 immediately responded and while en route, units from Station 1 (Towson) arrived to find a motor vehicle accident with one person trapped. Squad 303' crew arrived moments later and assisted Truck 1's crew with extrication of the patient by removing the drivers side door. The patient was then packaged and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Crews remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
Dwelling Fire on Bellona Avenue in Towson: Fire Box 01-13
October 01, 2012 - At approximately 8:15am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a dwelling fire on Bellona Avenue between North Charles Street and Stevenson Lane in Towson. Engine 302 immediately responded and while en route, Engine 11 (Hillendale) arrived to find fire showing from a two-story dwelling and requested a working fire assignment. Engine 11 immediately established command and deployed a hose line into the dwelling making an aggressive attack on the fire. Engine 302 arrived shortly thereafter and assisted units on scene with extinguishment, ventilation, and ladder placement. Squad 303 also responded and stood by on scene. Units remained on scene for approximately 2.5 hours.
Fire at Vacant Dwelling in Towson: Fire Box 01-08
September 28, 2012 - At approximately 9:30pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a dwelling fire on Locksley Road off of Allegheny Avenue in Towson. Engine 302 and Squad 303 immediately responded and while en route, Station 1 (Towson) units arrived to find a one story vacant dwelling with smoke showing. As the dwelling was vacant and condemned by Baltimore County's Inspection and Building Engineer Department, all units were ordered to conduct defensive fire attack operations. As second arriving engine company, Engine 302 secured Engine 1's water source and deployed a secondary hose line to the rear of the dwelling, assisting with ventilation and extinguishment. Crews managed to make a quick knock on the fire from the exterior, however remained on scene for an extended period of time to ensure all hot spots and contents were extinguished. Units remained on scene for approximately 4 hours.
Dwelling Fire with Rescue on East Aylesbury Road in Lutherville: Fire Rescue Box 30-01
September 27, 2012 - At approximately 6:40pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a dwelling fire with rescue on East Alyesbury Road in Lutherville. Engine 307 and Squad 303 immediately responded and arrived moments later to find a one-story dwelling with fire showing. Engine 307's crew immediately established command, requested a working fire assignment, and deployed a handline into the dwelling making an aggressive attack on the fire which was primarily contained to a bedroom. Simultaneously, Squad 303's crew performed a search of the dwelling to ensure all occupants were evacuated. Prior to fire department arrival, it was reported that neighbors rescued the resident from the dwelling. Crews remained on scene for approximately 2.5 hours.
Single Vehicle Accident on Seminary Avenue in Hampton: Local Box 29-01
September 22, 2012 - At approximately 1:45am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of an unconscious subject as a result of a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of East Seminary Avenue and Dulaney Valley Road in Lutherville. Engine 302 immediately responded and while en route, dispatch advised an updated location of East Seminary Avenue between Hickory Lot Road and Doves Cove Road in Hampton. Engine 302's crew arrived shortly thereafter to find a single vehicle accident with two injured subjects. The patients were evaluated, packaged, and transported to a local trauma center for evaluation. Crews remained on scene for approximately 35 minutes.
Vehicle into Tree Traps One in Brooklandville: Rescue Box 14-08
September 15, 2012 - At approximately 3:15am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the motor vehicle accident with rescue on Hillside Road between Falls Road and Greenspring Avenue in Brooklandville. Originally dispatched as a motor vehicle accident with injuries, Engine 14 (Brooklandville) arrived at location, assumed command, and requested a rescue assignment as one person was trapped. Squad 303 immediately responded and arrived on scene and immediately assumed rescue operations. As the vehicle was resting in an unstable position on a sloped terrain, Squad 303's crew, with the assistance from Tower 323 (Pikesville Volunteers), stabilized the vehicle by utilizing Squad 303's crane. Once the vehicle was stabilized, Squad 303's crew then extricated the patient by removing the driver's side door. The patient was then packaged and transported to a local trauma center for evaluation. Crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes.
