November 07, 2014 - At approximately 6:20 pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a dwelling fire on Richmond Avenue off of Harford Road in Parkville. Squad 303 and Engine 301 responded and while en route, first arriving units from Station 10 (Parkville) arrived to find a one story dwelling with smoke showing. The crew from Engine 10 was able to make a quick knock on the fire, which was primarily contained to the kitchen. Squad 303 and Engine 301 arrived shortly thereafter and assisting with overhaul. Crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes.
October 26, 2014 - At approximately 2:40am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a motor vehicle accident with rollover on the inner loop of Interstate 695 between Charles Street and York Road. Engine 302 and arrived moments later to find a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles, of which one vehicle was on its side. A total of five (5) patients were injured as a result of the incident. All patients were evaluated and transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. Crews remained on scene for approximately 20 minutes.
October 26, 2014 - At approximately 2:05am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the scene for a motor vehicle accident involving a struck pedestrian at the intersection of Dulaney Valley Road and the entrance to Goucher College in Towson. Due to the critical condition of the struck pedestrian, Maryland State Police (MSP) medevac was requested. Engine 302 responded to the scene and set up a landing zone for MSP Trooper 1 on the campus of Goucher College. The patient packaged and transported to a local trauma center. Crews remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
October 19, 2014 - At approximately 8:05pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of an apartment fire on Nunley Drive in Parkville. Squad 303 responded and while en route first arriving units from Station 10 (Parkville) arrived to find fire showing from a three-story garden style apartment with multiple residents trapped requiring rescue. The incident was upgraded to a rescue and second alarm assignment due to deteriorating conditions and multiple rescues. Squad 303's crew performed a search of the 2nd and 3rd floors and assisted with extinguishment operations on the 3rd floor and attic area. Crews remained on scene for approximately four (4) hours. October 16, 2014 - At approximately 1:55pm, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of an overturned vehicle with entrapment on Pine Valley Drive between Timonium Road and Galway Road in Timonium. Squad 303 responded and while en route, first arriving units from Station 17 (Texas) arrived to find one vehicle overturned with one patient trapped. Squad 303 arrived shortly thereafter and assisted Tower 17 with patient extrication by removing the driver side door. The patient was packaged and transported to a local hospital. Crews remained on scene for approximately 20 minutes.
October 11, 2014 - At approximately 10:50am, Station 30 was alerted to respond to the report of a dwelling fire on Hartham Court off of Spring Lake Drive in Timonium. Engine 301 responded and while en route, first arriving crews from Station 17 (Texas) arrived to find smoke showing from a two-story dwelling with a reported of a basement fire. Engine 301 arrived shortly thereafter and assisted crews with extinguishment, search, and overhaul. Engine 302 and Squad 303 also responded on the working fire assignment. September 21, 2014 - LVFC spent the morning at Goucher College in Towson in support of the 8th Annual Walkabout Abilities two-mile walk. The event was organized by Abilities Network, which is a non-profit organization that assists individuals with disabilities in Maryland to achieve their personal goals and reach their maximum potential.

September 13, 2014 - LVFC hosted a vehicle stabilization and extrication training this morning at Sullivan's Garage in Golden Ring. For several hours, members had the opportunity to refresh on the tools and techniques utilized when operating on scene of a motor vehicle accident with rescue / entrapment. Members from Hereford Volunteer Fire Company (Station 44) and Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company (Station 39) also participated in the training. LVFC greatly appreciates Sullivan's Garage for use of their facility and donating vehicles for the training exercise.
July 13, 2014 - Building construction on the new firehouse addition has progressed. To date, initial site work has been completed along with the foundation, structural concrete block walls, and the slab floor for the new addition. Simultaneously, conversion of the third floor in the existing firehouse from meeting space to new living quarters has begun along with sitework for the new entrance way to the rear of the firehouse.
