Live-In Member, or assisting our organization in a non-operational capacity as an Associate Member, we have opportunities for EVERYONE willing to make a difference in their community.
Active Fire/Rescue members are firefighters/EMTs that respond to emergency calls. These members go through intense training to become active firefighters. The training requirements for devoted active members are immense. LVFC currently has over 80 active members and is always looking to add to its team. If you would like to become an active firefighter, please fill out the applicant interest form here.
In the interest of public safety and the safety of the community, LVFC will provide adequate facilities for members to sleep and live in the fire station, at no cost to the member. In return for use of these facilities, live-in members will provide volunteer services to LVFC as described in the Live-In Program Responsibilities. The goal of the Live-In Program is to assist the LVFC, decrease response time to emergency calls, and to aid in the maintenance of quality emergency service for our community.
Associate members help with the administrative aspects of LVFC. They are not active firefighters and/or EMTs. Instead, these people dedicate their time to helping the company operate efficiently and effectively. Quite often, these people are retired lawyers, accountants, or other professionals that have the desire to keep their skills sharp while volunteering their time. Several of our Executive Board members are associate members. If you are interested in becoming an associate member, please fill out an applicant interest form here.
